- Use your 4 PM late checkout (included with status). It’s a game-changer, especially for families.
- Club Lounge access? Use it to the fullest. This one is better than many we’ve seen in North America.
- Family trip? The central location makes it easy to explore Detroit attractions, visit family, or enjoy a weekend getaway without a car.
Parking
If you’re planning to self-park, note that the self-parking garage is located outdoors, adjacent to the hotel. While it’s just a short distance away, you’ll need to walk around the building to access the hotel entrance. This means being exposed to the elements, which can be a bit inconvenient—especially in bad weather or when carrying luggage. If convenience is a priority, you might want to consider valet parking instead.
Booking With Points
We booked our stay using 32,000 Marriott Bonvoy points (on Sunday night in August), and the redemption value was excellent compared to a cash price of over $600 CAD on the same night. A Free Night Certificate plus points can easily be used at this property even during peak season.
